The first step of the lay-up process. As a rank beginner with fiberglass, I relied on info gleaned from the internet as well as on excellent advice from Paul Monforton. This is the gelcoat being slathered on (a bit too liberally as it later turned out). When dry it imparts a nice hard surface finish.
